We used it for web surfing, writing, and playing movies from our big video server. For quite a few years, one of my 2012 Mac minis was our dedicated, Windows-based entertainment center machine. This is not nearly as far-fetched as it may seem.
That is, until one of our readers, mentioned this sentence: "It'll probably be a great Windows machine for years to come after that." With all the excitement over the new Macs, we haven't spent a lot of time discussing what will happen to the old, Intel-based Macs once the primary architecture for MacOS moves to Arm.
